Mariana Garcia
Masters Level Counseling Intern
Hello! I'm Mariana, a Master's Level Counseling Intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Liberty University. My journey into the world of psychology was deeply personal, sparked by a recognition of the stigma surrounding mental health in the Hispanic community. I believe everyone deserves a safe and supportive space to explore their feelings and work towards a healthier, happier life.
For the last three years, I had the privilege of working as a behavioral clinician, collaborating closely with families and children. It was during this time that I discovered a profound passion for supporting children and adolescents as they navigate life's challenges. I approach therapy with a focus on practical solutions, utilizing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify strengths, develop coping skills, and create positive change.
My commitment is to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgmental environment where you feel truly heard and understood. Outside of my work, I enjoy the simple pleasures of baking, getting lost in a good book, exploring true crime podcasts, soaking in culture at museums, and discovering charming new cafes. I look forward to connecting with you and embarking on this journey together.
