Hannah Thornton, LCSW-S
Resident Therapist
Hannah Thornton holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Adults and Healthy Aging. Her background as a crisis counselor with the National Suicide Prevention Hotline (988) has equipped her to provide trauma-informed, compassionate support for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation or thoughts of self-harm. She integrates components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into her practice.
Central to Hannah’s approach are active listening and collaborative rapport building—foundational elements she believes are essential to creating a safe and effective therapeutic relationship. She works with adolescents, adults, and family groups, always maintaining a holistic focus.
Hannah is especially passionate about non-directive empowerment and meeting clients where they are. As a wife and mother, she brings an attuned understanding of the complexities of family dynamics to the table, and values the insights offered by Family Systems Theory. She was drawn to the field of social work after witnessing the transformative power of the strengths-based perspective in promoting resilience and restoration.
If you're seeking support with a focus on emotional well-being, feel free to reach out for a complimentary phone consultation. Hannah would be honored to walk with you on your journey toward healing, recovery, and personal growth.
