Dawn Brower
Masters Level Counseling Intern
Dawn is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with over 12 years of experience in the field of substance use treatment. She has worked in residential, intensive outpatient, outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and prevention settings. Her passion is working with teens, young adults, and adults looking for support and guidance while navigating life through anxiety, depression, and other life stressors.
Her evidence-based practices include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and she takes a trauma-focused approach to meet her clients where they are at. She also works as a substance abuse prevention specialist, where many of her clients are at-risk youth and young adults.
She received her B.S. from Purdue University Global in Psychology in Addictions. She is finishing up her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University to become an LPC. When not working, she enjoys watercolor painting, spending time with her family and friends, or watching reruns of The Three's Company or sports.
