Chris Leibowitz, LCSW, CSAC
Chris Leibowitz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and has worked in various roles in the past ten years in mental health and substance use treatment. Chris has worked in inpatient, outpatient and medical settings and nows works in private practice working mainly with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships and/or substance use. Chris utilizes Cognitive, Behavioral and Psychodynamic theories in his work with patients. He strives to create a collaborative environment with clients and has been described as approachable and caring by clients.
Chris is a huge fan of soccer and athletics in general so be sure to let him know your favorite team when calling!
Rebecca Mello, LCSW
Rebecca Mello is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and entered the field of behavioral health services in 2009. She has experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient care, in-home services, IOP, PHP, community mental health and currently private practice outpatient. Rebecca has provided services to children, families and individuals who have struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and mood instability. She utilizes a flexible approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Trauma-focused Therapies while meeting the individual’s specific needs. Rebecca enjoys helping her clients identify their own personal strengths and abilities and integrating these into their treatment. She strives to provide a collaborative and encouraging environment and is passionate about empowering others to achieve their goals and improve overall wellness.
Tania Herrera, LCSW
Tania Herrera is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Tania received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Marymount University and her Master of Social Work degree with a Clinical Specialization from George Mason University. Tania has been serving youth, families and individuals for the past 10 years in community-based and in-home settings acting as a case manager, in-home counselor, group facilitator, outpatient therapist and currently as a therapist in private practice.
Tania specializes in helping individuals address challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, family conflict, and substance use. Tania utilizes a collaborative approach and integrates a variety of evidence-based interventions to help clients reach their goals including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy and Mindfulness.
When not doing therapy, Tania loves to spend time with her son and husband. She also enjoys learning about world history, world religions and ancient civilizations.
Tania is also fluent in Spanish and provides services in Spanish upon request.
Alexandra Roberts, LPC
Alexandra Roberts is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. She has experience working in multiple settings including in-home services, school based/college programs, behavioral health centers, and in outpatient mental health clinic. She specializes in working with teens, young adults, and adults with a variety of mental health issues. These include anxiety, life adjustments, grief, trauma, self-esteem issues, and relational concerns. She utilizes flexible treatment modalities that consists of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Training, and grief/trauma interventions. Her ultimate goal is to establish a safe and trusting environment while supporting clients as they gain clarity on their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. She constantly strives to develop an ongoing understanding of the mental health field to continue to grow professionally. Alexandra enjoys reading various novels, doing yoga, binge-watching series, and building on her personal relationships.

Michelle Dickerson, LPC, LMFT
Michelle Dickerson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Michelle completed her education in California before moving to Virginia in 2019. Michelle joins ACTIVV Counseling with experience in RTC, PHP, IOP and outpatient settings. She has experience working with teens, young adults and families. She utilizes a Client-Centered approach but takes influence from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) to address relationship issues, trauma, life stressors, anxiety and depression. Michelle strives to create a safe and supportive environment that allows each client the opportunity to share their unique experiences and cultivate personal growth.
When she's not working, Michelle enjoys running, trying new restaurants and exploring local dog parks with her golden retreiver.
