Brianna Ector, Psy.D.

Brianna Ector, Psy.D., is a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Brianna received her undergraduate degree in Psychology form Spelman College and her Master’s and Doctor of Clinical Psychology degrees from Adler University in Chicago. Brianna has been working with youth, couples and individuals for the last 6 years in hospital, community-based, and college counseling settings as a diagnostician as well as a group, individual, and couple’s therapist. 


Brianna specializes in helping clients address concerns related to trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, PTSD, identity development, racism, relationship difficulties, sexual dysfunction and family conflict. Brianna’s therapeutic style is primarily informed by Relational Constructivist and Existential theory. Brianna value’s the uniqueness of the human experience and strives to co-create a safe, affirming space with clients through building a healthy relationship based upon mutual trust and respect. Brianna believes this fosters the autonomy and empowerment of each of her clients.


When not providing therapy, Brianna enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as reading comic books, painting, gaming and traveling the world!
