Rita Buccieri, M.Ed., CSAC

A young woman with long, curly brown hair, smiling, wearing a black top, pearl necklace, and earrings, standing outdoors in front of green foliage.

Rita is a therapist who works primarily with adults and also welcomes individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families. She holds a master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in clinical mental health and is a certified substance abuse counselor.

Rita believes many people struggle with understanding themselves, feeling stuck in painful patterns, or navigating difficult internal experiences. She takes a relational, person-centered, solution-focused, and strength-based approach, and is intentional about not pathologizing or labeling clients. Therapy with Rita is an open, collaborative dialogue where clients are encouraged to bring whatever they would like to work on at their own pace.

Her style is warm, conversational, and relaxed, and she believes humor and laughter can be powerful tools for healing when used thoughtfully. Rita values deep connection and works alongside her clients to help them find relief from suffering and feel more grounded, supported, and understood. She especially enjoys working with individuals who are motivated for change and open to actively engaging in the therapeutic process.

She has a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD tendencies, addiction, relational challenges, emotional regulation difficulties (including anger management), complex trauma, as well as perfectionism, people-pleasing patterns, and struggles with shame and guilt.

Outside of her clinical work, Rita enjoys being outside, having creative outlets like painting and drawing, and appreciating the people and places around her.

"Life is precious because it's a fleeting, beautiful opportunity for love, joy, and growth, urging us to savor each moment, nurture what we love, and live fully, recognizing its fragility and inherent value beyond material things."
