Dawn Brower
Dawn is a Master level intern bringing experience in clinical mental health counseling and addictions counseling to her therapeutic practices. She is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Her approach is person centered focusing on CBT, MI, while refining her skills in trauma focused therapy, somatic work, and REBT. With the help of cognitive restructuring, clients begin to feel relief when becoming unstuck is possible.
She primarily works in the Loudoun/Leesburg office with adolescents, teens, and young adults. Her focus is to help clients of all ages work through stress, anxiety, depression, gender expression, and other challenges that life presents in the Northern Virginia area.
As a SAP, Dawn provides Department of Transportation (DOT) evaluations, psychoeducation, therapy, and treatment ensuring our roads, airways, and railways remain safe. From beginning to end, case management is provided so RTD is satisfied.
With over 14 years working in the addiction field, she understands the challenges substance use can bring to individuals and families. My goal is to instill hope with all my clients no matter their age or need.
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
