Darris Wallner, LPC
Darris is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Union College in Kentucky. Darris has experience working in college programs and outpatient mental health clinics with a diverse array of clients, including teens, young adults, adults, and couples.
Building upon this diverse experience, Darris had the privilege to help guide clients through anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting skills, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Understanding the importance of relationships, he draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Method. Darris believes the client-therapist relationship is the most crucial aspect of therapy and strives to meet clients compassionately where they are. This builds a safe environment for clients to accept their current inner experiences, while simultaneously reconnecting to others and their Self.
Darris is continually seeking to grow as a clinician and person. Outside the office, he enjoys binging podcasts, reading books, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and 2 kids. An avid animal lover, Darris is the willing servant of 9 cats, and will also graciously accept dog lovers.
“Being the 'best you can be' is really only possible when you are deeply connected to another. Splendid isolation is for planets, not people.”
