Matt Partlow, MSW

A man with dark hair, a beard, and a mustache, wearing a red and blue checkered shirt, smiling outdoors with green leaves in the background.

Matt holds a MSW and completed his Clinical Social Work education at Syracuse University in New York. His journey in the counseling field dates back to 2015, spanning various outpatient settings that included Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Veteran’s Affairs before transitioning into private practice. Throughout this rich experience, Matt has had the privilege of serving diverse populations, addressing a wide range of needs including veterans’ issues, crisis intervention, personal growth, grief, identity exploration, young adults, men's concerns, family dynamics, mood disorders, trauma, and emotional intelligence enhancement.

With nearly a decade of practice, Matt firmly believes in the innate wisdom within each client, guiding them toward solutions and relief from the challenges they face. He employs a flexible approach, drawing from techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT, and others tailored to individual preferences and needs. Matt understands that while personal growth is ultimately an individual journey, having unwavering support can make all the difference. You can trust him to stand by your side, even when you may doubt yourself.

During his downtime, Matt immerses himself in reading, aiming for at least fifty pages daily from his current book. As a loyal Seattle Seahawks fan, he eagerly anticipates their next Super Bowl victory so he can then retire as a fan. He cherishes moments of adventure with his family, delights in brewing Café con Leche for guests, and stays connected with friends; particularly those he bonded with during his time in the Marine Corps. Despite his modest skills in painting, Matt enjoys creative sessions with his son, weaving imaginative stories together after school.

“The right thing to do is typically the hardest thing to do.”
