Alia Haddad, M.A.
Alia Haddad is a Resident in Counseling who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults who feel stuck in patterns they do not fully understand, such as overthinking, people-pleasing, shutting down, or carrying more than they show.
Her work focuses on the deeper patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Using a primarily psychodynamic approach, she helps clients explore how early experiences and attachment dynamics continue to influence their relationships, self-worth, and emotional responses today. She believes insight creates choice, and that understanding a pattern gives you the freedom to decide whether it still serves you.
Alia has a particular interest in working with relationship struggles. She often reflects on the porcupine parable: we draw close to stay warm, yet risk hurting one another in the process. Therapy becomes a space to understand those protective “quills” and learn how to experience connection without losing yourself.
She places deep value on the therapeutic relationship and believes real change happens in a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to be fully yourself.
As a trilingual clinician fluent in English, Arabic, and French, Alia is committed to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive environment that honors your story and identity.
Outside of therapy, she enjoys time with loved ones, traveling, reading, and finding beauty in art, fashion, and quiet cafés.
